Again via Wonkette -- if you're at all interested in politics and enjoy irreverence and snark and don't mind in-the-beltway references, you should be reading it -- Jon Stewart on Dr. Phil's insightful little chat with Laura and George Bush, specifically, Phil asking if the Bushes believe in spanking.

Also: The Daily Show's America (the book) is nothing short of brilliant. A lot denser and less one-note than the Onion's satire as of late, and just as good as that hallowed institution at its best. Thanks a-plenty!

I think you have George Bush confused with Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton took time off of campaigning in New Hampshire during the 1992 Democrat primaries to over see the execution of Ricky Ray Rector. Mr. Rector didn't finish his desert, saving it for later.
