The Legion of Super-Heroes is coming to Smallville.

Yes, this is probably the only thing you could do to get me to watch, and I'm still not sold on it. Throw in Quislet and you've got a deal.

I remember reading Batman #400 -- bought completely by accident, I certainly wasn't a regular reader of the darknight detective -- and there was an essay by Stephen King, about how on the Superman/Batman argument, how he always picked Batman, for most of the same reasons you state. (I always like the distinction that, unlike pretty much everyone else, Batman is the real identity and Bruce Wayne is the disguise.) Superman's more than a match for just about anyone this side of God. Yawn.

If introducing the Martian Manhunter and the Legion can't get me to watch Smallville, I don't think I ever will. Fooey.

(And I've seen the trailer for Wolverine and am actually looking forward to it, suddenly. Damn you, Hugh Jackman.)
