Picspam 2006 Year In Review, part one

Going through the picspam archives, I've been impressed to see how many of the posted images still work -- only a few here and there have vanished, been removed, been hotlink-blocked, been f'only-ed -- but a good chunk of them are still up. Peruse, should you find yourself in possession of too much time, and may you be blessed so.

However, before we kick off 2007, a retrospective on the dawning of the picspam era. The (half-)year's best, as voted on by arbitrarily ganked out by yours truly.
