...then why did I just wait in line 45 minutes to vote?
Eh. No sweat. Saw a few familiar people, but none I'd say hi to. Even though few of the candidates I voted for have any chance of winning in a red state, it's cathartic.

Also voted for downtown arena. 1 cent sales tax increase for 30 months trumps 20-year property tax increase. And besides, the Coliseum didn't do itself any favors last Friday night at the Thunder game, when they had to turn off the main scoreboard because the buzzer got stuck on.
Voted Libertarian when I could, but most of the elections in Sedgwick County were judges and unopposed. Most of them were Republican, but that's okay because judges need to be conservative. The lawmakers can be liberal, as long as the judicial system is conservative. Try what you like, keep what's legal. Sounds like a plan.
There actually was one race that had a Republican versus a Libertarian, heads-up. Imagine the Registered Democrat(tm) in the voting booth making THAT call.

Sigma, your vote is just as worthwhile as anyone else's, at least where the presidential ticket is concerned. A president with a broad mandate is more effective than one without, and this year mandate refers to the popular vote more than anything.

Yes he does. Well, I woulda.
And I'm not sure we'll be in mandate territory, but eh, worth a shot, no? And it gives me a license to bitch and keeps Puff Daddy off my lawn....
