I vote for OMGcat, because it's hilarious. (Also, given that I was in the primary age group targeted by his music back in the day, how did I manage to miss that particular debate?)
I'm going to go with the Amazed Cat as well. This reminds me of the time when Nathan Lane made his "big surprise announcement" on the cover of the Advocate. I believe the only person who was surprised was Nathan Lane.
I think I managed a shrug and a "so what?" myself. There's no real indifferent choice up there, which I suspect is actually the majority response. At least among folks who aren't indoctrinated against those narsty hom'sexuals.
That was pretty much mine -- and, of course, the sarcastic O RLY? bit -- and then I got a bit indignant over the whole "you know, why didn't you say something when this mattered?" bit, and then I decided that while I might see the social-justice angle, I can't see the personal angle, and as such, have no place passing judgment either way, so I end up right back at square n-1 with a prevailing question of "why am I even talking about this, anyway?"
Part of me loves slow news days. I just took it as an excuse to break out the animated pics.
