Updated Cinema Verite to something approximating v0.0.2.  What's diff'r'nt:
  1. Login required, but not really for security, more for movie tracking.  Use login/password combo "guest/lj" to give it a try.
  2. Production costs much higher, now using the 1-2% figure discussed upstream.  Still doesn't make it very difficult.
  3. Actor discernment/dialogue in script selection refined.  They should be much more sensible and intelligible about which projects they take and why.
  4. Added drop-down boxes for salary figure entering.  If you're like me and you're trying to count out the zeroes when entering figures north of $10,000 or so, this should aid matters immensely.  Plus the offers persist even if your target turns you down, so if actor A says no, you can move right on to actors B, C and D for the same figure.
  5. Reviews -- not very eloquent, but a vague yardstick on how good your film actually is.
  6. Box office results.  Yes, there's actually a point to all this now.  You can unleash a blockbuster, barely break even, or fall far short.  Hint: when you release it matters a great deal, almost as much as how good the film actually is.

That's about it for now.  Am still working on little things like, oh, the directors' divorce from reality in accepting scripts, the lack of repercussions for staying in-budget (or is that too realistic?) and [livejournal.com profile] manekikoneko's suggestions.  And I'm sure because I've buzzed through the flow so many damn times I'm missing some usability issues.  Suggestions will be entertained and appreciated.
