Yes, it's the binary palindrome day, and it's (more relevantly to me) the Skyrim release date, oooeee. So I'm preparing to completely waste my weekend. But that's not what this picspam is observing.

As far as I've gotten into it, it appears to be Oblivion warmed up just a bit and deeper than ever before, and for my money, Oblivion was the gold standard of RPGs. I'm having some trouble with it on the PC (it was clearly written for the console and halfheartedly converted -- using the mouse has occasionally locked the entire game up), but if it proves to be half as good as its predecessor, it will be a hell of a good time. (And I had to update my video drivers, but it was overdue.)

I think if you don't get it for the PC, it should be less hassle.

You'll probably wanna get it for the PS3, though -- the Blu-Ray has better graphics installed, whereas the 360 enhanced textures need a patch/download or some such.

Between me and my Esteemed Colleague from Elsewhere, who cannot yet afford a PC capable of running Skyrim (and is...profoundly tormented about this situation), it's been constantly in my forebrain for a few months now. It's the only thing I've seen a commercial for in Hulu and marked the ad as "relevant to me." Even the glitches make it moar awesome.

But lemme know how Skyward Sword is....
