Okay, maybe I made the wrong icon.
So after getting waxed by Dairyland I knew thing were going to get better. Next up on the schedule were the Sedgwick County Komodo Dragons -- which, by virtue of being a low-maintenance team with just enough roster moves to fill in for bye weeks, should be the league patsy -- and the Honolulu Harem, Llllonda's NFC-happy team which has been suffering just as badly as that august conference. I made a few boo-boos on roster moves, but when you're having the year that Peyton Manning is having -- and nobody's ever had a year like this -- it doesn't matter. Beat Honolulu 152-119.5, beat SC 139-78. Now for the hard part.
The last three games of the season come up against the toughest teams Nuffle has to offer: first Costa Rica, then Hutch, then my nemeses in the Dayton Raptors against whom I've gone 0-2 so far. Gulp.
First Rusty's Ticos. Hey, Tom Brady? Aie. Panic sets in. Marvin Harrison? Uh-oh. If Peyton or LaDainian or Drew have an off-game, I'm in trouble. But they don't. 154-85. This is the type of game I need to have against the Jaydogs and Raptors to sew up a playoff spot. And honestly, with the way these people are playing, putting up 154 points is good enough to beat the best Nuffle team. Fingers crossed.

I like the sound of being your nemesis. Ominous sounding. Get that added edge of fear going. Unfortunately, the way I'm going, I might live up to that old sports cliché that you can't beat the same team three times in one season. Fortunately, I play the Harem this week for a warm up, but of course it's not a given.
