I picked the wrong night to turn off Monday Night Football and hit the hay early. Grrr! Stoopid Dolphins.

Terrell Owens done for the season. I'm not naive enough to think this dooms the Eagles entirely. But it does shut up Owens, and for that I'm glad. I am not fond of his excessive showboating of his individual accomplishments in a team sport. I'm deeply peeved by his churlish demand to be traded -- oh, but only to Philadelphia, because they're a good team, and I want to win so my marketing share grows. Gah. Yeah, I can't hide that I'm actually satisfied that he's hurt.

Flip side of the coin: Colts have a chance to break the TD record at home against the Ravens and...they sit on the ball. Good job, Coach Dungy. Yeah, it means you'll break the record on the other side of the country against the Bolts -- and you will break it next week -- but it's a classy thing to do. If Philly had shown this much restraint against Green Bay, I wouldn't have been secretly hoping for someone to wishbone Donovan McNabb.

Chiefs beat Denver. John Lynch's fifteen-yard penalties all for naught. Ha. I say again. Ha. Suck on it, Shanahan. The only thing that could feel better for the Chefs is beating Oakland. I wonder if Kerry Collins will leave a gift-wrapped football under the tree for the Chiefs....

Unrelated: in my hometown today, the sunrise is 7:15 am, sunset 3:46 pm. That's just awesome.

Oh, and don't make plans for December 27th.

Fuel-Air bomb. What a great piece of weapons technology. And the saving grace of the North Korea scenario is that one F/A bomb could pretty much take out the entire country.
