Under anesthetic, subdivided and synthetic

Tuesday marks the first anniversary of picspam (wow, six whole pictures; how did I find the time?), so to celebrate, let's do something a little different.

This little endeavor would be a huge waste of time (or more of a waste of time) without its readers. So instead of me digging through the archives and dredging up my favorites (which is more or less what I do every time I picspam), I'd like to hear from you. Thumb through the archives, post some links to your favorites from the last 365ish days as comments (screening is on) and on Tuesday we'll make it into an event. Vote early, vote often, the oftener the better; if it spills out into >50 then we'll just make it into several posts.

And here's hoping you've enjoyed exploring the links. I've made a lot of pleasant discoveries and expanded my f-list as a result of picspam; I hope you've gotten something out of it, too, if only momentary diversion....

...One of my faculty colleagues wants to get into podcasting, and I'm looking into solutions for not only him but anyone else in the department who may get bit by the bug.

Pros: we have our own server, plenty of space, bandwidth out the yin-yang. The instructor in question is quite skilled at audio manipulation and encoding.

Cons: He's not so skilled at manually editing an .xml RSS feed, and I'd like to automate/GUI-up that process as much as possible. Also, he's on a Mac, though I know others who'll want to take advantage of this are on PCs.

Advice? All signs point to Feedburner, or possibly Movable Type with its free plugin. Anybody been down this road before?
