I seem to have stared at something bright, because I have this huge C-shaped arc of blindness in my field of vision. How annoying. I should go home. But that would mean driving. Heh. (Why does that strike me as more amusing than frightening? Am I wicked of the brainmeats?) Anyhow. Er...uh, arrr, or something. ( 36 pics below.... )
It's almost that time of year again: Talk Like a Pirate Day is Tuesday.
So I point to the Talk-Like-A-Pirate-Maker, capable of rendering your favorite webpages into the words of scurvy dogs. Or, if you want to create a link to a page, just add "?urlname=sigma7.livejournal.com" (or whatever the URL of the page is) to the end of the address, and it'll be ready to go. (I have yet to perfect its spiritual cousin, Muh, but I should get back to work on it next week.)

Nice slow weekend, just the way it should be. Lots of quality time with the flock, a little NFL Draft (yes, being Mr. Irrelevant is a big deal), a nice chunk of Mythbusters and lots of rest. First order of business on Monday, though, is calling the doc. Am not well. Details as they develop.
I have discovered the sheer and utter glee that is Sid Meier's Pirates -- the 2004 version, at any rate. I played the '87 version relentlessly until the geography of the Carribean was imprinted into my gray matter. Leapt into the new version and it surpassed all of my expectations for it -- including the fear that I wouldn't be able to translate my broadsiding skills honed at the Commodore 64 to the 3D version. But aye, 'tis a truly faithful translation, arg.
