a) We knew each other before we were who we are.
b) You were keeper of the FAQ, of course, and shortly, too. But funny, I've never seen you be at a lack of anything.
c) In every aspect in which you present yourself, I've never known you to be less than radiant. Even when things were truly miserable, you seem cognizant that it's merely a passing shadow.
d) There are some people for whom parenthood is a daunting time in their life, or an end, or a beginning. When Ellie arrived it was like you were finally...complete, somehow.
e) At what point did you figure out the scary guy who sat next to y'all in the church was yours truly?
f) You have so many and they're so different and hand-crafted...and the win is so strong with the lot of them. So I'll have to cop out and say this one. It's not so much how I see you as I think how you project yourself.

You know, I don't remember much about Kay and robing's wedding. I can't exactly recall when I realized that you were you. What I *do* remember was you telling the story of driving there and then realizing about halfway through that there was a difference in time zones, and that you were an hour later than you thought you were. Wheee! :D

aardy and I had our wedding that year, and went to four others during 1998. My cousin's second wedding was in March, ours was July, reynardine and aota were married ... October, I think? And there was another one I want to say in December from some college friends of ours. It was like every 2-3 months there was ANOTHER wedding! :P

The icon is, of course, from my wedding photo. I just like the utter strength of it. Confident and happy.

I still regret not being able to make it to y'all's nuptials, ditto M&B's. The driving was actually beginning to take a solid toll on me, and my mind still wasn't in quite a good place yet. Actually, I still do very very badly at showing up for weddings. I need to work on that. Or make everyone stop getting married.
