Thanks to the glory of the "?format=light" option on LJ, I can now correctly parse for any layout and jump over moodpics. Grabs the first image, regardless of format, out of the body text, even if the image doesn't have an extension (like Scrapbook images). Skips over files that aren't Internet shortcuts. All I need to do is clean up the interface a little bit and it's good to go.

Note: de-hotlinked.

Forgive me for being dense or having missed something, but if this is "automatically generated" picspam, then how are you selecting just the pictures you want to post--or are you just posting the first 20-some random pictures that pop up a la the RLJPG?

/me is confuzzled.

The pic of Patrick Stewart, master assassin, vs. a horde of Yul Brynner rent-a-cops is pure art, though. (Even if it is actually Yul vs. Yul or something else entirely.)

Essentially I hit the LJRPG for obscene amounts of time, and if there's a pic that catches my eye, I open it in a new tab. If it works and I still find it noteworthy, I drag its icon into a folder on my desktop, and after a while, they...accumulate.

Then I zip 'em up, upload them into the picspam generator, and...voila. It's "automatically generated" in the sense that I don't have to write the HTML for the LJ post, nor do I have to manually go to each page and copy the photo over. Most of the time.

I'm glad that my picture (of the falcon) caught your eye, but the unknown referral link from your LJ caught mine.

I request you replace the existing code with the following:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/the_defiance/197473663/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://static.flickr.com/61/197473663_4cf6bbfb72_o.jpg" width="922" height="518" alt="Falcon" /></a>
