Following impromptu ("...Can you come in right now?") mid-day doctor visit and medicine run to Dillon's, picked up some creme curls from the bakery-section yesterday -- oddly delicious. Craving not thwarted. Want more now now now.

Birds are coexisting gloriously. Not all in the same cage yet -- Muffin's cage is next to the Big Cage with Moosie and Tiny Moo. Tiny's a little hormonal and tends to BONK Muffin with his head if Muffin wanders too close to the two-year-old. Moosie loves the Muffin, though. Pretty much all the time, Muffin is on his perch as close as he can get to the Big Cage, and Moosie and Tiny Moo are crowded up to Muffin's side of their cage, too. From she with the guts of puppy, [livejournal.com profile] kitblonde, another great column from St. Pete. Emphasis mine.

But the last election demonstrates that a core of Americans want the very concept of church-state separation back on the table and they are now firmly in charge of two branches of the federal government and a majority of the states. To see what this side is thinking, I recently spent a day watching Christian broadcasting. What struck me most was the emphasis the preachers and talk show hosts placed on the need to get religion into government. They were positively obsessed with it.
